NEWS REPORTS - COUNCIL'S PARKING METER GREED
Prior to the last election, in an attempt to nullify the NPMP, all the parties stated parking meters were not on the agenda. Yet just this month, the Deputy Mayor, Cr. Matson moves that $60,000 of Ratepayers money be spent on upgrading parking meters within Randwick City. Contrary to the NSW Act, these upgraded meters will generate approximately $120,000 annually. THIS IS YOUR MONEY AND TAXES BEING ABUSED.
Only 4 Councillors voted against this; Cr. Matthews (No Parking Meters Party), Cr. Andrews (Independent), Cr. Belleli (Liberal) and Cr. Stevenson (Labor).
